The Bethlehem Experience is a major event at First Presbyterian that occurs every 3-4 years. The entire congregation in involved in one way or another in turning Fellowship Hall into Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born. Costumed tour guides lead groups through the village where they interact with tax collectors, bakers, carpenters and musicians, all of whom pass along rumors of a special child born in Bethlehem that night. The tour culminates in the stable where Mary and Joseph tell of their wonder at being entrusted with the Son of God. It is a moving experience both for the actors and the guests and adds a special dimension to our celebration of the birth of Christ.
