We have made it through another winter. Sometimes in the spring it is good to make a list of things you need to do for the season and in preparation for the coming time. Here is a list of ‘Life Jobs’ that you might want to work on (have fun):
Don’t cut in front of little kids in line. Pay attention to old people. Feed the fish. Don’t touch the eggs in a bird’s nest. Don’t stick your gum under tables. Pick up your trash in the car. Laugh. Go to bed before you get grouchy. Don’t run away from home. Share. Drink your cereal milk. Watch your mouth. Be nice to your mother. Notice quiet people. Get dressed up sometimes. Don’t be afraid to work hard. Never apologize for your age. Laugh a lot. Know that Jesus is your friend. Brush and floss. Eat your fruits and vegetables. Go to bed when you get sick. Don’t loosen the saltshaker lids in restaurants. Don’t take street signs. Don’t be selfish. Be faithful. Laugh. Be nice to your family. Practice. Ask for directions when you are lost. Be able to forgive. Tell the truth. Don’t kill anyone. Don’t take things that don’t belong to you just because you want them. Look for God in each day. Don’t make fun of weakness. Clean up your room. Know that you are a gift from God. Get a plant and take care of it. Say thank you! Don’t be greedy. Smile at people. Notice the gifts God has given you. Look at the sky. Learn. Go to church. Be kind. Know that you are loved. Don’t be mean. Don’t be too serious. Enjoy what you do. Reach out to other people. Laugh. Don’t judge people before you know them. Relax. Dream. Don’t be jealous. Have flowers around. Comb your hair. Know that some times are going to be sad. Be a good friend. Laugh. Don’t go down a clothes chute headfirst. Don’t be afraid to run in the rain. Notice things. Pay attention. Be nice to little kids. Remember that you are smart. Notice people. Don’t drive too fast. Do the dishes. Say your prayers. Read children’s books. Don’t do things just for the money. Visit with people. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Communicate. Pray. Come home sometimes. Wash your clothes when they get dirty. Sing. Take walks. Play outside. Don’t watch too much TV. Think. Take care of yourself. Cry at sad movies. Laugh. Color a picture. Pray. Be thankful. Improve. Listen. Choose good friends. Remember what it’s like to be little. Read the Bible. Love God. Be determined. Be strong. Be weak. Laugh. Know that you make a difference to many people. Don’t be afraid to look stupid. Take care of your pets. Don’t talk in church. Wear clean socks. Pray!
